Happy Wednesday! Life has been so busy lately. But the holiday’s are here and I couldn’t be more thrilled to be head to toe in Grinch apparel. Recently I have purchased these velvet trousers from the Pretty Little Thing x Kourtney Kardashian collection. When the collection first came out I wanted almost every single thing. I loved the uses of silk and velvet in different patterns and colors, dresses, crop tops and many more. Since I had never heard of this brand I didn’t want to purchase more than one item because I wanted to see how I liked the products.
My first impression when I pulled them out of their package was no way are these going to fit me. Their sizes run in two’s (0,2,4,6,8) and I went with a four because I am usually a three so I thought sizing up would be the safest bet. The pants do fit me very snug but in a comfortable way. They are meant to be extremely high waisted and very fitted. If you’re not into the fitted look these pants are definitely not for you. The one thing about these pants I am not impressed with and am kinda confused about is the length. I am about 5’7 and these pants are EXTREMELY long. In the photos I’m not sure if you can tell but I had to pin them up a little bit just so they wouldn’t drag. I am guessing they were made this way to style with heels but that wasn’t my intent on buying them. On the model shown on the website the pants do drape evenly over the feet but for me they do not lay that way. The heels I am wearing in the photos above are a couple inches high and still didn’t take the length off of the ground.
Overall, I think these pants are very flattering in the hip area, and they emphasize my small waist. The quality of the fabric I would say is fair for what I paid for them but I do not like the length of the trousers. I’m just going to have to get them hemmed because I do like them but the length is something that I’d make an excuse not to wear them. I wouldn’t run out and tell everyone they need these trousers in their life because I honestly don’t think they’re worth the money. I know they’re Kourtney Kardashian (the only reason I bought them) but I suggest saving your money and purchasing a higher quality pair that won’t require hemming or alterations. This is just my experience with one item from the collection and I am not opposed to trying other pieces from the collection.
XOXO, Chloe ❤
